What is YOUR dream for this great, historic structure?

Friends of Ziock (FOZ) applied for designation of the Ziock-Amerock building at 416 S. Main St., as a Certified Historic Structure to be listed on the Federal Register.  The nomination was successful with the listing being accomplished May 4, 2011. This status  provides the cornerstone of a financial platform to support redevelopment of the property.   FOZ plans to assist with creating the environment conducive to private sector activity that will produce property tax revenue and generate new jobs.

 

Buildings left empty can create an interim and sometimes false impression that that their usefulness has come to an end.  Developers who are experienced at working with old buildings understand the possible limitations but also the potential of restoration, renovation or adaptation.

 

It also shows a similar building that has already been restored magnificently and adapted to residential use.
